Responsibilities:Provide overall administrative support to the Design Department within the Zoo’s Architecture & Planning Division. The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator who thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced, innovative atmosphere. Duties will include all of the administrative responsibilities entailed in project planning, design and construction. Responsibilities also include preparation and distribution of meeting minutes, payment processing and general administrative duties.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Must be proficient in a variety of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, Raisers Edge, PowerPoint). Experience working in the architecture or construction-related field is preferred. Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, accuracy and attention to detail, must be able to lift and carry bulk mail of up to 25-35 lbs., and able to handle confidential information. Prior experience scheduling meetings and appointments, as well as prior experience communicating with Board members is preferred. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects.
