Private Event Facilitator (Seasonal)

Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the Sales & Catering Department by assisting to coordinate day of production and execution details for events, meetings and other sales activity. Reports to the Manager of Event Services.  Includes working closely with other members of the Sales & Catering team and various internal Zoo departments (i.e., Security, Food Service, Housekeeping, Distribution, Welcome Desk, Guest Services) to create a culture of hospitality and focused service to support the success of the Zoo and the needs of our clients.   Perform clerical duties as needed.  Support client engagement activities. Maintain good front-line customer service and client/staff relations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of customer service/event planning experience preferred.  High School diploma or equivalent required.  Qualified candidates must possess strong project management, interpersonal and organizational skills along with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products. Must be positive, energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure and possess ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks and work independently.  Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs for 50 yards, stand and walk for extended periods of time, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and be willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends. All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check and drug test.  A valid driver’s license is required. COVID vaccinations are required for this position.
