Operations and Procurement Manager

Salary range for this position is $35,000 – $40,000 or commensurate with experience

The Operations and Procurement Manager is responsible for regulating and monitoring a budget, developing relationships with food source managers, placing food orders, receiving and distribution, instituting best practices, coordinating transportation of food products, ensuring food safety and proper food storage, providing excellent client service, and supporting staff and volunteers with the resources needed to complete their jobs safely and effectively. The Operations and Procurement Manger reports to the Pantry Director.

The largest food pantry in the region, JFS’ Harvey Kornblum Food Pantry (HKJFP) provides ten days of nutritious food to more than 6,500 children, adults and seniors every month. At HKJFP, clients can also connect with other services to support their well-being, including personal care items, nurse wellness checks, utility assistance, and referrals to community resources. JFS supports families and seniors, alleviates hunger, and improves mental health for all St. Louisans, inclusive of age, religion, race, gender, sexual orientation and ability.
