As a legal assistant, you will receive challenging projects and handle responsibilities to include:
Administrative:

Collaborate with attorney/paralegal team in producing top quality work product.

Read, date, and file all incoming mail.

Ability to work effectively and professionally with both internal and external clients on all levels.

Handle communications when attorney is out of the office, to include assisting clients and taking detailed messages.

Maintain client files in accordance with Sandberg Phoenix filing standards.

Manage a calendar/docketing system in accordance with the Sandberg Phoenix Docket System.

Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings with clients, expert witnesses and other counsel.

Assist with coordinating meetings, events and travel arrangements.

Manages invoices, expense reports and other accounts payable items, as necessary through Chrome River.
Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities should include:

Experience preparing and filing patent/trademark applications and other documents with the USPTO.

Demonstrates knowledge of patent and trademark processes.
-
Proven ability to problem solve, think independently, and tackle projects with attorney/paralegal supervision while maintaining timely and efficient organization.

Ability to read, write and communicate fluent English; ability to proofread documents; and compose standard communications.

Ability to transcribe legal documents, correspondence and reports at a level of minimum of 60 wpm.

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from clients, attorneys and staff.

Possess attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects and have strong time management skills.

Interpersonal skills to work with other Sandberg Phoenix members in a positive, teamwork environment to service our clients.

Demonstrates proficiency in technical skills, including extensive knowledge of Word, Outlook, Elite and various document management systems.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years on-the-job experience in intellectual property.
EDUCATION:
-
Two Year Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies or Business Administration.
