Human Resources Administrator
Summary: Primary HR point of contact for employees and public. Manage flow of information, including requisitions, job postings, offer letters, etc. Responsible for management of employee, volunteer, and candidate data, and for HR processes including recruiting and onboarding. Maintain all related records, including files.
Minimum of Range: $20.86/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate files on all employees and volunteers, including both electronic and hard copy records.

Manage processing of all personnel actions, such as new hires, transfers, terminations, etc. Ensure timely and accurate communication of pertinent information to HR team and other impacted parties.

Ensure legal compliance with regard to employment authorization through annual I-9 audits and timely processing of I-9s through E-Verify.

Maintain accurate files regarding tuition remission, including compliance with SLAM tuition remission policy.

Track compliance with annual performance management process.

Maintain Dayforce for staff and volunteer information. Train and support hiring managers in use of system for recruiting and other processes as requested.

Partner with hiring managers to prepare and post all job openings to appropriate outlets.

Manage candidates within Dayforce.

Advise employees concerning personnel policies and procedures; resolve employee problems as appropriate.

Conduct orientation for new volunteers and employees.

Prepare forms and reports for HR department, including EEO, Director’s monthly report, and other ad hoc reports as requested.

Responsible for staff service award program, staff picnic, volunteer reception, and other HR events as directed.

Process unemployment claims.

Open, date, sort, and read mail. Independently handle mail not requiring HR Director’s attention.

Respond to all requests for employment verification.

Assist with wellness committee, open enrollment, and all other HR initiatives as requested.

Serve as back-up to payroll administrator.
Qualifications: High school diploma and three years’ experience working in a human resources environment is required (or equivalent combination of education and experience). General knowledge of laws governing human resources. Excellent organizational skills and accuracy, pleasant and welcoming communication style. Preferred: bachelor’s degree, experience with Dayforce HCM.
