As an accounting generalist, you will receive challenging projects and handle responsibilities to include:

Assists Billers in preparing monthly billing process to include running the proformas, making edits, reconciling over and under realizations, generating various billing reports, and ensuring billings are processed and sent to the clients.

Assists with reconciliation and coordination of refunds and overpayments.

Assists Accounting Specialists with cash receipts.

Assists Accounts Payable Specialists with inputting and verifying accounts payable information through Chrome River and generating checks and payables pursuant to firm and client guidelines.

Performs all filing and records functions.

Assists Accounting Manager and team with special projects.
Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities should include:

Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys and staff in person, by email and telephone to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.

Analytical skills necessary in order to review proformas, make edits in compliance with billing policies.

Ability to input data into accounting software with a minimum of 60 wpm keyboarding skills.

Proficient in Microsoft products to include Outlook, Word and Excel.

Perform arithmetic calculations in preparation of billing proformas.

Ability to operate standard office equipment including personal computer, copier, facsimile, and telephone.

Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain when performing a high volume of clerical tasks and performing other essential duties.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
-
Two plus years working in a service industry accounting/billing department.
EDUCATION:
-
Minimum two-year Associate Degree in Accounting or Business related curriculum.

Knowledge of basic accounting and billing principles.
