JOB DESCRIPTION: Learning & Engagement Assistant (Part-Time, Temporary)
REPORTS TO: Director of Learning & Engagement
MINUMUM OF RANGE: $15.00 per hour
High School Diploma and college coursework required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred with coursework in visual art, education and/or business. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and the ability to assist with program facilitation with a working knowledge of art education or art history. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office. Candidate must be comfortable interacting with audiences of diverse cultural backgrounds and have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with other colleagues, museum visitors, and outside partners and contractors. Must be available to regularly work Friday evening hours.
To provide administrative and program support to Learning & Engagement programs.
DUTIES, WORK PERFORMED:
Work with staff to plan and implement monthly SLAM Underground programming.
Work closely with staff to support delivery of weekly gallery talks.
Assist with other Adult Learning programs.
Coordinate finance, space reservation, ticketing, catering and other details to ensure programs run smoothly and maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
