POSITION AVAILABLE:  Part-Time Gallery Attendant
     
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to deal with staff and visitors in a polite and courteous manner.
• Prior museum experience helpful. 
• Must be dedicated to duty, possess good judgment and discretion, and be diligent in performance of responsibilities.

DESCRIPTION: Gallery Attendants monitor the public areas of the Museum to protect staff, visitors, building, collections and contents.  This position is very visible to the public as you continuously walk through assigned galleries, offering assistance to visitors and ensuring Museum policies are followed (i.e. ensuring visitors maintain a proper distance from the objects). This position requires weekend shifts, constant standing or walking, and the ability to react appropriately in an emergency.

The Museum offers uniforms and a starting rate of $10.08, as well as the opportunity to be an important part of one of the premier cultural institutions in St. Louis.
