Responsibilities
- Abstract and audit lease documents including updating and maintaining all lease information and data in our technology information systems, as required
- Conduct audits of Year-End Common Area Maintenance (CAM), Insurance, and Real Estate Tax reconciliations
- Review client-partner invoices in conjunction with lease requirements and ensure back-up documentation is in place and all calculations are correct
- Design, produce, and review selected monthly/quarterly cost reports, identify and track savings, identify exceptions, investigate causes of exceptions, and recommend solutions to prevent further errors
- Communicate frequently with field personnel. Notify field of critical dates, real estate policies and procedures, and assist with general field inquiries
- Maintain file retrieval/storage
- Request and process certificates of insurance
- Establish task priorities and create schedules for portfolio objectives
- Understand net present value and time value of money
- Review and approve expenditures, per established authority level. Ensure that expenditures comply with Client and Cassidy Turley policies
- Provide final review of all major re-occurring initiatives (i.e. budgets, business plans, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, etc.)
- Coordinate activities with other divisions including Brokerage, Facilities Management, Construction/Design, etc. as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree: Business preferred
- Prior lease audit/administration or commercial property accounting experience is preferred
- Must possess an understanding of net present value and time value of money
- Excellent internal and external customer service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
- Ability to understand, interpret, and abstract complex real estate lease terminology
- The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
