Responsibilities
- Work with employees to resolve routine issues and questions within the scope of existing practices under the direction of HR Leadership
- Ensure proper compliance with DOL, EEOC, and Wage and Hour provisions to include entry and maintenance of employee records and required labor law postings
- Assist with the communication, implementation, and administration of payroll processing, employee benefits and national HR programs
- Assist with the development, delivery, administration, and implementation of employee training programs, including employee orientation programs
- Liaison with Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Management staff to enter and maintain up-to-date employee database information
- Assist in administration of compensation program; help to monitor performance appraisal process
- Create and edit ad-hoc reports within the HR software and provide accurate data to management when requested
- Type general correspondence and proofread and edit copy for spelling, grammar, and layout
- Complete verification of employment requests
- Create, maintain, and update personnel files
- Copy, assemble, and bind company employee handbooks
- Support and assist the HR Field Team with various projects as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of administrative HR or related experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employment information
- Effective interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
- Ability to work independently, think critically, and demonstrate ownership of job tasks
- The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
