Responsibilities
- Support improvement in the Human Resources groups from a system perspective
- Create, review, and maintain formal functional requirements documentation and process flows for PeopleSoft HCM and related ERP applications and interfaces
- Perform fit gap analysis to determine required modifications to delivered application
- Research, study, and analyze system or process related issues/incidents as escalated and provide appropriate resolution(s)
- Coordinate technical assistance to help in problem resolution
- Recommend process improvement opportunities – document current state process and create future state process documentation
- Participate in configuration management and change management for HCM and related transaction processing, reporting and analytic systems with which it shares interfaces in compliance with governance guidelines, policies and procedures
- Deliver proactive approach with each HCM workgroup by function and geographic team with regard to business process re-engineering, internal control objectives , and best practices to address business needs, identify and solve problems, and enhance service levels
- Maintain awareness of ERP system scheduled events, including: updates, upgrades, modifications, and related testing/approvals, as well as annual disaster recovery testing and the potential impact of those events on the business users of the HCM application
- Create and execute communication plans to improve user adoption and effectiveness
- Develop training programs to improve user adoption and effectiveness of new and existing features
- Perform regular system monitoring to ensure data integrity and support internal and external operational audits
- Write, maintain, and support a variety of queries and reports including ad hoc requests
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent MIS work experience
- 3+ years of administration or business analyst experience with Human Resources and PeopleSoft HCM
- 3+ years of experience in implementation and support of application systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of project development life cycle
- Demonstrated knowledge of assigned application
- Demonstrated knowledge in creating test plans and managing testing cycles
- Proven ability to gather business needs and develop technical requirements
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and to draw valid conclusions
- Experience writing business requirements, User Acceptance Test Cases, and Scripts
- Actively solicit feedback and recommendations from the user community to determine an action plan to implement recommendations
- Solid business judgment, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
- Expert analysis skills and a solid knowledge of what can be accomplished through configuration and configuration best practices to include defining projects, suggesting and implementing solutions
- Demonstrated experience leading a functional team as well as technical resources
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
