Responsibilities
- Write all internal company communications – including general company news, departmental announcements, executive announcements, major new hires, thought leadership, M&A activity, and shareholder communications
- Develop content for external marketing materials – including brochures, web copy, ad copy, and occasionally proposal copy and event copy
- Work with the Chief Marketing Officer, VP of Corporate Communications, and VP of Marketing to develop and refine core company messaging – boilerplate, company talking points, company overview, corporate responsibility, etc.
- Write speeches for company executives for external and internal events. Assist with research and articulation of corporate strategy
- Publish weekly reports that summarize internal and external news for company-wide distribution and create monthly summary reports for leadership team. Manage editing, formatting, and publishing of the above content, as well as approvals from all stakeholders. Develop processes to enable stories to be published expeditiously. Act as backup formatter and publisher for intranet and website
- Lead and/or coordinate special projects at the request of the CMO
- Provide writing and editing support to local marketing managers, corporate departments, and corporate marketing
- Monitor adherence to Cassidy Turley’s style (based off AP Style Guide)
- Monitor messaging and competitive positioning of major competitor firms
- Assist Social Media Manager in editing social media communications, including blog posts
- Juggle and prioritize all responsibilities to meet all deadlines
- Assist with light graphic design work
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience
- Content development expertise that includes: converting company statistics into compelling copy; conducting research in support of marketing and corporate communications, including analysis of competitors’ online presence; creating compelling copy that facilitates engagement and trust, establishes company leaders as thought leaders, and establishes company goals; refining editorial style and online voice; creating a repeatable, scalable blueprint for content production
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent spelling, grammar and composition; organized; sets priorities; meets deadlines; and carefully proofs own work
- Ability to work in a stressful, deadline oriented environment and able to work overtime occasionally at the last minute
- Upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, dependable, takes pride in work, and works independently and with a team
- The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
