Responsibilities
- Assist in and conduct the daily operations and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance requirements of buildings
- Supervise maintenance staff
- Assign and monitor maintenance projects
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Recommend improvements for the preventive maintenance program on an on-going basis
- Develop/maintain effective building specific maintenance procedures
- Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians
- Maintain stock inventory control
- Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as related to building operations
- Practice safe work habits
Requirements
- Graduate of a maintenance technical program
- Minimum of 5+ years of commercial building maintenance experience
- Or any similar combination of education and experience referenced above
- Possess a current MD State Grade and/or Journeymen License or in the process of obtaining
- Current Universal CFC license
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to frequently move and lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to administer and respond to service requests via hand held wireless device (Blackberry)
- Ability to keep an ‘on call’ schedule, with occasional work required after designated working hours, holidays, and weekends
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
