Our Retail Supervisors assist the store managers with the daily operation of the National Zoo gift shops. The Retail Supervisor is a self motivated, energetic team leader that can supervise, train, and support the retail staff.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervisor when gift shop manager is not on the premises
- Supervises and trains Sales Associates and Store Leads in daily working environment ensuring compliance and consistent service standards
- Accurately reconciles cash
- Assists with preparation of schedules for store staff
- Resolves customer service concerns
- Records employee absenteeism and tardiness and reports chronic issues to the store manager
- Ensures required merchandising and cleanliness standards
- Assists with managing inventory
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years supervisory experience in retail, banking, or other cashiering environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills & exceptional service standards
- Able to walk up & down hills multiple times a day
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays
