Exhibit Greeter
Our Exhibit Greeters promote an unsurpassed visitor experience at the Zoo by providing a safe and courteous environment for all visitors and exhibit animals. Our Exhibit Greeters are responsible for welcoming visitors and regulating the flow of people that enter the indoor animal exhibits. When needed, they assist our Information Associates with daily tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing unsurpassed service to visitors, including maintaining general knowledge of the exhibits, wildlife, and amenities, answering questions and finding ways to inspire visitors
- Greeting visitors , anticipating their needs, and providing a positive experience
- Directing visitors to various exhibits and amenities within the Zoo
- Acting as Zoo ambassadors by seeking out guest interaction and providing a positive guest experience
- Providing information about Zoo exhibits, daily schedules, special events, or membership
- Keeping work area clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate supplies and materials.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 16 years or older
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift in a variety of weather conditions
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be courteous, friendly, and helpful
- Proactive and outgoing nature
- Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and carry objects of up to 25 lbs
