Responsibilities
- Hiring, training, supervising and mentoring all Research Department staff including Market Analyst
- Responsible for the work product of the department, including overseeing all aspects of production and quality control
- Developing department systems
- Responsible for the accuracy of content, analysis of data, etc., of all Department publications which include, but not limited to, Quarterly Office Market Surveys, Market Insights, Market Matters and Annual Office Sales Survey. Develop new publications as needed for new and current clients
- Assembling information and data, drafting and writing all Market Overviews requested by all Departments
- Overseeing the collection of all lease, sales, and land comparables
- Overseeing the collection of all data for the lists of “Buildings on the Market” and “Tenants in the Markets”
- Overseeing the collection of weekly industry rumors and facts and disseminating the information to all real estate staff
- Maintenance of the company’s slide libraries, for use by all departments
- Participate in all real estate industry events and programs and develop contacts with real estate professionals in other firms and disciplines
- Responsible for the Department’s resources, including all industry publications, and electronically providing staff with industry information and relevant resources
- Drafting and updating all market overviews for inclusions in pitches, RFPs, SFO, and other presentations for all company departments
- Overseeing and updating all Research Department content on the company website
- Representing the Department at all weekly, bi-weekly or monthly Leasing, Capital Markets, Finance, etc., company meetings
- Responsible for all client, potential clients, and colleagues research inquiries as well as attendance in meeting
- Drafting articles, speaking at industry events, quotes in industry publications, raises the profile of company as a leading source of real estate information
- Working with IT Department and Database Administrator to implement and maintain database of comps, and other research information in Reapps
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Masters in Business Administration, Economics or Statistics preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience
- Or any similar combination of education and experience referenced above
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work with external vendors, consultants, and agencies
- Self-starter who can interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills as well as an ability to think creatively and strategically
- The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
