Friends of the National Zoo is seeking an outgoing, responsible, friendly, and mature individual with excellent interpersonal skills to assist the Human Resources team with general administrative tasks. The coordinator assists with the new hire process, daily employee inquiries and applicant tracking.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greet visitors and answer phones
- Assist with new hire orientation and finger printing
- Create and maintain personnel and benefit files
- Update personnel and payroll database
- Complete employee verifications
- Respond to employee inquiries
- Process invoices
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 21 years or older
- High School degree required, College degree preferred
- Prior office experience preferred
- Must be able to work independently as well as on a team
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must have strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Payroll experience a plus, ADP preferred
