POSITION AVAILABLE: Protection Services Supervisor
The Saint Louis Art Museum is seeking a Protection Services Supervisor to participate in the total security operation of the Museum, which includes the safety of the staff, collections, building and the general public visiting the Museum; in particular, to control and/or safeguard against fire, theft, vandalism, and other undesirable events.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required, some college preferred. Prior Security Officer experience preferred. Must be able to obtain a valid Security Officer License in the City of St. Louis. Knowledge of radio procedures, computer skills, alarm systems, and emergency procedures preferred. Must be dedicated to duty; possess good judgment and discretion, while being diligent in the performance of his or her duties. Must be able to work flexible schedules and hours. Must be able to provide oral and written reports in a clear manner. Must be able to complete CPR/AED certification. Attendance must be reliable and punctual.
JOB PURPOSE: To supervise the operation of a security shift on the premises and perimeter of the museum. A security shift may include, but is not limited to, Security Officers, Gallery Attendants, or other persons as directed by the Protection Services Director.
