POSITION AVAILABLE: Institutional Giving Officer
 
The Saint Louis Art Museum seeks an Institutional Giving Officer to join its staff in Development and External Affairs Division. 
 
The Institutional Giving Officer will assist in managing the Museum’s effort to secure funding from corporations and foundations, including grants and sponsorships for exhibitions, educational programs, and other special projects. Position will be responsible for managing an annual corporate giving program; researching, writing, and reporting on grants and sponsorships; working with a group of executive volunteers; and managing other area projects as needed. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with Museum supporters and providing stewardship of current funders. Position requires working effectively with a variety of Museum departments to research projects for sponsorships, as well as working with appropriate marketing and program staff to provide recognition of contributors.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Emphasis in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, humanities, or related fields preferred. Must have at least three to five years fundraising experience with a demonstrated track record of achieving defined revenue goals. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are necessary as well as organizational skills. Must have an ability to work in a team environment and effectively handle multiple tasks. Must have working knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising software preferred. Knowledge of NetCommunity web program preferred. A relevant writing sample (such as a grant proposal) will be requested.
