Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a disciplined procurement process
- Participate in and coordinate strategic meetings and initiative planning
- Direct procurement activities including, coordinating with internal departments to ensure all phases of procurement operations are aligned with organizational strategy
- Build and maintain a high performance procurement organization and directly supervise team members
- Oversee supplier management functions
- Cultivate best-in-class supplier relationships and performance by researching and qualifying suppliers, products, and services
- Make supplier, product, and service recommendations, selections, and decisions based on organizational needs (financial, technical, service needs, and objectives)
- Perform financial analysis of supplier proposals, terms and conditions, and negotiate business
- Review and execute contracts
- Enforces general ledger coding standards and initiatives to support proper financial reporting and analysis
- Monitor procurement accounts payable process to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and policy adherence
- Develop a budget that will enable the achievement of corporate strategy and monitor overall spending trends
- Responsible for all corporate purchasing expenditures
- Establish and exceed cost savings targets
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 8+ years in a procurement leadership role
- Minimum of 3+ years in managing and leading a diverse team
- Possess strong negotiation skills, a high level of confidence, and decisiveness
- Demonstrated ability to implement process efficiencies
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to understand complex organizational issues
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Demonstrate change management skills with ability to anticipate conflicts and quickly utilize appropriate resources to provide substantive and meaningful solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to foster 360° relationships and collaborate with functional leaders to achieve targeted customer and employee satisfaction ratings
- Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills
