POSITION AVAILABLE: Media Relations Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field. Minimum 1-3 years experience in commensurate position; excellent organizational skills. Experience in not-for-profit cultural institution preferred. Job requires strong communication, writing and editing skills, ability to manage multiple project deadlines, discretion in handling sensitive issues. Knowledge of local and national media contacts preferred.
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the planning, and executing a comprehensive and media relations program of the Museum. Emphasis is on generating local and national media coverage for ongoing programs and exhibitions in support of the Museum’s brand and initiatives.
