POSITION AVAILABLE: Associate Educator
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Master's degree or comparable combination of experience and education in a humanities area (preferably art, art education, or art history); five years of museum experience in programming or interpretation; proven history of successful program development; excellent language skills; both written and oral; proven history of successful program development, project management.
Preferred highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills; must be able to manage numerous projects simultaneously and to work independently. Must work well with colleagues.
JOB PURPOSE: To work cooperatively with other Art Museum colleagues and the community to develop interpretive programming and materials for the Museum’s special exhibition and permanent collection installations, such as audio tours, gallery text, and online interpretive materials. To assist Division staff with the development of interpretive materials to support public, community, and school programming, acting as the liaison with the Design Department as needed.
