POSITION AVAILABLE: Part Time Research Assistant - Decorative Art and Design
The Saint Louis Art Museum has an opening for a research assistant in the department of Decorative Arts and Design. This position is a temporary and requires the availability to work twenty-five hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required and an M.A. in Decorative Arts/Art History is preferred. The position will work closely with the Associate Curator of Decorative Arts and Design on an upcoming exhibition of modern design in St. Louis, as well as conduct research related to the permanent collection and proposed acquisitions, installations, loan requests, provenance, etc., and assist with day-to-day curatorial functions. Strong research and writing skills are required as well as solid organizational and administrative experience and proficiency in PowerPoint. Knowledge of French or German is preferred but not required.
