Responsibilities

Perform daily start-up of building equipment and systems

Perform preventative maintenance on air handling units, roof-top units, heat pumps, chillers pumps, cooling towers, boilers, and mechanical and control systems and equipment

Troubleshoot and repair electrical switches and outlets

Perform lighting maintenance repairs and upgrades to include bulb and ballast changes

Repair basic plumbing issues to include flush valves, faucets, and water heaters

Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment and controls

Perform maintenance and repairs to door hardware to include locks and key control system

Address issues with fire notification, detection, and suppression systems

Respond to tenant calls and make general repairs to building equipment and finishes
Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
-
Graduate of a maintenance technical program; HVAC certification preferred
-
2nd Class C boilers license with ability to secure 1st class in one year.

Maintenance experience in a commercial office building

Or any similar combination of education and experience referenced above

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Ability to frequently move and lift 50+ pounds

Must be able to administer and respond to service requests via hand held wireless device (Blackberry)

Must be accessible at all times, via cell phone, including normal working hours, after designated working hours, holidays, and weekends on an emergency basis

Must be available for after hours work as well as an on-call schedule, as needed
